Here is a manicure I did using Lightening Strikes Twice LE Top Coat from Cameo Colours Lacquers. Their website describes the top coat as a “multicolored flakes mingle with a smattering of scattered holographic micro particles (NOT glitter)”. Super unique and beautiful.

For my base color I used SinfulShine With Gel Tech in Skinny Dipping. This is a super pigmented polish and I only needed one coat.

I then added Lightening Strikes Twice LE, which transformed Skinny Dipping into like a winter wonderland.

Beauty Tips for Women: Mermaid Mondays and Orly Mirrorball swatch

Orly Mirrorball is a polish I have wanted for some time but never could find. I eventually found it at Sally Beauty Supply. Mirrorball is a silver holographic polish.

The formula is very nice. I applied two coats with no issues.

I wanted to add some nail art to this lovely manicure. I decided to go with a mermaid scale design using Mash-39 plate.

I liked how this manicure came out.

I give Orly Mirrorball 5 brains.

Beauty Tips for Women: Alter Ego Nail Enamel – Taupiarist

I received a lovely polish from Alter Ego Nail Enamel via a giveaway she was having on her Instagram page (@alteregonailenamels). This is my first polish from Alter Ego, how exciting. The polish I received was Taupiarist.

Taupiarist is a holographic matte taupe. It is very delicate and subtle but makes a statement. The formula was excellent. I did three thin coats with top coat.

I wanted to add nail art to my manicure but didn’t want to cover up this gorgeous polish. I decided to go with a pink rose. The rose decal is from the Born Pretty Store.

I love how this manicure came out.

I give Alter Ego Nail Enamel – Taupiarist, 5 brains. I love this color and the formula.
