Review of Born Pretty Nail Vinyl (NF201) Scales

I purchased this scales nail vinyl set from Born Pretty Store. You get nine stencils in this set and they are very large. As you can see they are holographic stencils.   Beauty Tips for Women 678

I started off by applying one coat Finger Paints Black Expressionism. On top of that I applied one coat of Cirque Colors Ghost in the Machine. Since my nails are short, I was able to use one vinyl for two nails.

I applied L.A. Colors Craze in Jammin’. I used two of the holographic scales in middle finger to cover two empty spots.

I placed Seche Vite to seal the manicure. I wasn’t too thrilled with the color combination. However, using the nail vinyls was very easy. I liked that you really have the freedom to use any polish you have to achieve this nail art look.                                   Beauty Tips for Women 681

Pink Glitter Stars over Nude Manicure

For this manicure I used L.A. Colors Craze Gel – Vanilla Latte and Born Pretty Nail Vinyl Stars (NF207).

I used two coats of L.A. Colors Craze Gel in Vanilla Latte. This is a lovely nude polish to have in your collection. I had no issues with application.   Beauty Tips for Women 675

Since my nails are short, I thought it would be a waste to use one vinyl for one nail. I cut half of one vinyl and then used that for two nails.  I then applied Nicole by OPI in Haley Good Lookin’.

It was so easy to use these vinyls. I can cut them to fit my nails plus the stars that are left, I can use in another manicure.

Review of Raw Hair Organics – Raw Curls samples

I recently received some samples of the Raw Curls line from Raw Hair Organics.

I received the following products:

Raw Curls Spray Gel
Raw Curls Anti-Frizz Spray
Raw Curls Cleanser
Raw Curls Conditioner
Raw Curls Pomade & Shine Serum
Raw Curls Medium and Firm Hold Gel

 

 

In this post I will be reviewing the cleanser, conditioner, spray gel, and anti-frizz spray. According to their website all “Raw Curls products are Silicone-Free, Sulfate-Free, Alcohol-Free, Paraben-Free, Wheat-Free, GMO-Free, Not Tested on Animals and is 100% Natural & Organic Ingredients”.

The Raw Curls Cleanser does lather. It has a scent that I can’t really describe other than it smells organic. I found that it gave my hair that squeaky clean feeling. I didn’t feel like it was very hydrating for my hair.

The Raw Conditioner also has that organic smell but with a hint of something that almost reminds me of bubble gum. This conditioner has great slip and I found it to be very moisturizing. I let it sit on my hair for about 3 to 5 minutes and rinsed out my hair.

Now on to the styling part. With my hair still soaking wet, I reapplied the conditioner to use it as a leave-in. I followed up by using the Raw Curls Spray Gel. I sprayed this throughout my hair giving it a good coat then scrunching. This is not a regular spray gel at all. I could not detect any scent at all. The spray is not sticky like most spray gels I have every tried. I did not get that crunchy hair cast.

I usually wait 10 to 15 minutes before I diffuse my hair. Still no crunch to my hair. I could see great curl formation and my hair felt soft. When my hair was about 80% dry I sprayed the Raw Curls Anti-Frizz Spray on my hair, paying close attention to my trouble spots. This is another amazing product. I’m so glad to of stumbled on this awesome Hair Serum, it really has made my day so much easier. It has a slight citrus scent. It is super light and did not weigh down my hair. This product can be used as a leave-in detangler or curl refresher. Beauty Tips for Women 673

I was blown away by the results. My curls had great definition, my roots did not feel weighed down by product. Plus, my hair felt hydrated and moisturized. Frizz was minimal to non, considering that is one of my biggest problems. I can’t wait to try the rest of the goodies. I certainly would recommend this line for curly hair.
