Beauty Tips for Women: Nail Savvy Cuticle Remover

IMAG1537Today I’m doing a beauty product review of Nail Savvy Cuticle Remover.  I purchased this item from Sally Beauty Supply.  It retails for $6.49.  This is my first time using this brand.  I’m always looking for cuticle removers to try and it was on clearance.  I liked that this product was a brush on, which provides more control during application.  However, this was the only thing I liked about this product.  It dries up very quickly no matter how much you apply.  So when I tried to push my cuticles it had no slip.  I felt that it didn’t remove the cuticles well when compared to Sally Hansen Instant Cuticle Remover, which is what I normally use.  I would not recommend this product at all.

I give this product, 0 brain.

Beauty Tips for Women: Rose gold manicure

For this manicure I’m using Venique Ring Ting Tingling and Nicole by OPI Sweet Daisy from the Carrie Underwood collection.

Venique Ring Ting Tingling is packed with gold and rose gold glitters in a clear base.  Trying to capture how lovely that rose gold is in pictures was difficult.  I tried doing a macro shot.

I decided to pair Ring Ting Tingling with Nicole by OPI Sweet Daisy.  Sweet Daisy is an orange, peach, pink crème color combo.

Beauty Tips for Women: Removing Glitter Polish

I love glitter polishes but hate how difficult it can be to take it off.  About two years ago I saw a picture on instagram that changed my attitude.  Instead of using the foil method the person used rubber fingertips you find in office supply stores.  I decided to try it and was hooked. I tend to take off all my polish this way.  I picked up a box of 12 at WalMart, which offered different size of tips.

I start off by applying Vaseline around my finger not on the nail.  I do that so the acetone does not dry out the surrounding skin.  I use either cotton balls cut in half or cotton squares with some acetone.  I don’t soak the cotton with acetone.  I then place it over the nail and find a rubber fingertip that fits on top nice and snug.  I leave it on for about 5 minutes. I remove the rubber fingertips first then I remove the cotton in a dragging downward motion and it takes all the polish off in one clean sweep.
