Beauty Tips for Women: Chinese New Year 2014 Manicure

Happy Chinese New Year! I was inspired to try my hand at a Chinese New Year manicure when I looked at Jior Couture – Light The Festival.  Light The Festival is beautiful gold polish with small glitters of green, red, pink and silver. Nail Art Polish Beauty tips for Women 325

For the stamping portion of this manicure I used Bundle Monster BM-H15 and used Sally Hansen Rapid Red to stamp the image.

I did two coats of Light the Festival.

I then stamped the images.  It was a bit difficult to stamp since I am down to nubs but I managed to get the images in.

Beauty Tips for Women: Nicole by OPI – Am I Making Myself Claire? And Jior Couture – Coming Through Manicure

I was feeling like a purple manicure but with a bit of glitter bling.  I wanted something simple because lately I have been pressed for time, so here is what I came up with.

I did two coats of Nicole by OPI – Am I Making Myself Claire? from their Modern Family collection.  The color is so lovely; it is a grayish pastel lilac.  The application was a bit on the streaky side.

To add the bling, I added a coat of Jior Couture – Coming Through.  Coming Through is a blue, purple, and bronze color glitters in a clear polish.

I had a hard time capturing a good picture.

Beauty Tips for Women: Jior Couture – Hey Girl

On the blog today is a review and manicure using Jior Couture Hey Girl.  Hey Girl is a pink polish with gold shimmer.

I decided that with this manicure I would use L’Oreal nail stickers in Chateau You Go. Nail Art Polish Beauty tips for Women 310

I did two coats of Hey Girl.  I had no issues with the formula and the color is divine.  I applied Color Club Speedy top coat to seal the manicure.

I then applied the L’Oreal nail stickers.  You would think this would be simple but it was not.  It was difficult to get a smooth application of the sticker.  My nail bed is very curved and I was getting a lot of bumps, so it took a lot of pressing; but the effect is beautiful.  Nail Art Polish Beauty tips for Women 314Nail Art Polish Beauty tips for Women 315
