Beauty Tips for Women: Valentine Manicure using Jior Couture – Drumline

It may only be January but Valentine manicures have already started to pop up on the web.  I couldn’t resist doing one myself.

I decided to use Jior Couture Drumline for this Valentine theme manicure.  Drumline is a red jelly polish with red and silver glitter.  Once I started applying the polish it seemed like a pinkish-red on my skin tone.  The formula was fine but I had difficulty getting the glitters out.  It was frustrating to see all that gorgeous glitter sticking to the side of the bottle and not be able to get at it.  It also didn’t help that I was dealing with a mini bottle, which just added to the difficult of fishing out the glitter.

For the stamping part of this manicure I used Pueen plate 43.  Nail Art Polish Beauty tips for Women 302

I started off with two coats of Drumline.  Once dried, I stamped my ring finger with Sally Hansen Rapid Red and the rest of my fingers with Konad White.  I made sure to let the image dry before moving on.  I added two more coats of Drumline and topped it with Color Club Speedy top coat.

I liked the over all effect although I’m not sure what it is called; I guess you can say it’s a jelly stamp sandwich manicure … lol …

I give Drumline three brains.  I found the color lovely but couldn’t get over the issues with the glitter.

Beauty Tips for Women: Jior Couture Hey Lady and Jior Couture Artist Unknown Manicure

I had the amazing luck to have won a prize from Jior Couture.  She sent me eleven mini polishes.  This was certainly more than what I ever expect and all the colors are just lovely.

I was immediately drawn to Hey Lady and Artist Unknown.  Hey Lady is a soft pink with gold shimmers.  On my skin tone it almost looks like a soft peachy pink color.  Artist Unknown is a holographic top coat with green, blue and pink.   Just a warning this post is picture intensive.

For this manicure I used three coats of Hey Lady.  I had no issues with the formula; it was perfect.  I used four coats of Artist Unknown on my accent finger; again no issues with the formula.

I loved how the manicure came out.  I wanted to add something else to make it pop but without covering the color.  I decided to add silver oval rhinestones.  I’m so in love with how it came out.

Beauty Tips for Women: New Year’s Eve Manicure

I was pressed for time for New Year’s Eve but I still wanted to do a manicure.  Here is what I came up with:

I did two coats of Wet ‘n Wild Black Crème.  I topped it with two coats of Sephora by OPI in It’s Real 18k Gold top coat.  For my ring finger I did one coat of Maybelline Bold Gold.  I stamped a Happy New Year image from Cheeky jumbo plate 6 using Konad Black. Topped it off with Color Club Speedy top coat.

I wanted something simple to pull off but yet had some bling.  I was very happy how it turned out and got some compliments at the party.

I have entered this manicure into a Adventures in Polishland 2nd Annual New Year’s Eve Manicure Contest on her Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=551728878250783&set=a.551728681584136.1073741839.303841569706183&type=3&theater
Please give my manicure a like and like Adventures in Polishland’s page.  She has a cool page and blog.

The holidays have been crazy.  I did several Christmas manicures and simple didn’t have the time to post up anything.  I did place pictures on my instagram and twitter accounts.  I haven’t decided yet if I will do a blog about them since Christmas is over.  We shall see.
