Beauty Tips for Women: China Glaze – Elephant Walk

I wanted to share a manicure I did using China Glaze Elephant Walk from their On Safari Collection.

Elephant Walk is a beautiful grey with silver shimmer.  I tried to capture how nice this color is, so this is a picture intense post.  The shimmers are more present under lights or the sun.  Elephant Walk tends to lean towards the green side, depending on the lights.  I had no problems with the formula; it was smooth and easy to apply.  I used two coats for this manicure.

I could not resist adding some stamping to this manicure.  I used Winstonia W115 to add cute elephants walking across my nails.  I stamped with Pure Ice Silver Mercedes.

I give Elephant Walk 5 brains.

Beauty Tips for Women: Sation – Let’s Mingle & Jingle

This is a beauty product review of Sation – Let’s Mingle & Jingle.   I was wondering around Marshalls and Let’s Mingle & Jingle caught my eye.  I’m a sucker for blue hues and at $2.99, I couldn’t resist picking it up.

Sation – Let’s Mingle & Jingle is a dark blue or sapphire color.  It has silver glitter throughout but at times it almost seems like a holo effect is happening.

I loved the way Let’s Mingle & Jingle looked in the bottle so full of sparkle that I couldn’t wait to try it.  I found the formula to be runny and a bit streaky.  I used two thick coats.  Overall I loved the look but not the application.

I give Let’s Mingle & Jingle 3 brains.

Beauty Tips for Women: Revlon – Rainforest / St. Patrick’s Day Manicure

I would like to share a review of Revlon – Rainforest and a simple St. Patrick’s Day Manicure.

Revlon Rainforest is a dark green base with light green and gold flecks or flaky.  The color is stunning especially when it hits the light in the right angle.  The formula was average.  I used two coats because with one it was streaky and patchy.  I did want to make a note about the brush; it is the wide paddle style and I guess the shape was supposed to be rounded but instead it seemed like it wasn’t cut right so it had a weird triangle semi rounded shape.  This made application a bit difficult.  Leave it up to me to pick a bottle with a defective brush.

Being that we are in February, I couldn’t pass up not giving this gorgeous green a St. Patrick’s Day flare.  I opted for a simple shamrock stamp using Maybelline – Bold Gold, which picked up the golden flecks so beautifully in the polish.  The shamrock image was from Winstonia W105.

I give Rainforest, 4 brains.
