Beauty Tips for Women: Tropical Kids Manicure

Recently my daughter asked for a tropical themed manicure and pedicure for an event we were attending.  She had very specific ideas of what she wanted in the manicure, a palm trees and hibiscus flowers.  I promised her I would share it on my blog.

For both hands and feet I used Wet n’ Wild Bijou Blue.  For her hands I stamped images of hibiscus flowers and a palm tree.

For her big toe, I created a decal of the stamped image so I could paint the flowers red.

She loved it and that made me happy. Nail Art Polish Beauty tips for Women 585

Beauty Tips for Women: Splash Flower Pedicure

I fell in love with The Lacquerologist’s Splash Flower manicures.  If you haven’t seen them, check out her website: http://www.lacquerologist.com/.

I decided to recreate it but as a pedicure. I used Zoya polish in the color Gia for my toes.  I used SinfulShine in Wisp for my big toe.  Using a makeup sponge with Gia on it, I applied it around to the inside corner.  Using a black striper, I made the flower petals and made the dots.  I was really happy with how they turned out.

Beauty Tips for Women: Pixi by Petra – Moonstone Muse

Sharing a swatch of Pixi by Petra in Moonstone Muse.  It is a lovely soft white mix with pink.  It has shimmers of a rose gold.

The formula was good.  I used two coats for this manicure.  It was hard to capture in pictures the shimmer of the gold.

I love how subtle this color is and definitely goes with everything.
