Beauty Tips for Women: pink with a pop

The weather has been rainy and gloomy and I wanted to brighten my mood.  I decided that a bright pink with a pop on the accent finger would be the best way to go.

Here is a list of what I used for this manicure:
Salon Perfect – Fired Up Fuchsia
Salon Perfect – Summer Escape
Salon Perfect – Plum Sorbet
Salon Perfect – Bermuda Baby
Milani – White One The Spot
Rica – Whiteout
Cheeky plate – CH15

I used two coats of Fired Up Fuchsia except on my accent fingers.  On my left hand accent I did one coat of White On The Spot and left the right accent finger bare.  For the gradient I used Summer Escape, Plum Sorbet and Bermuda Baby.  I wanted to see the difference of doing the gradient on a white base and then on bare nails. I stamped the hearts image from CH15 using Rica Whiteout and topped it all off with Seche Vite.

Right hand.

I think my gradient came out better on my left hand.  Overall, I was happy on how it came out.  It definitely brightened my day.

Beauty Tips for Women: Scunci Upzing Double Stretch Comb

On the blog is a beauty product review of the Scunci Medium Upzing Double Stretch Comb.  I’m always looking for hair gadgets to try.  The Upzing is very easy to use; just insert one comb and stretch the second comb over to the opposite side and slide combs together.

I have curly hair and the Upzing is great for creating hairdos that don’t damage/tangle my curls.  I love how fashionable it looks and how easy it is to showcase my curls.  PhotoGrid_1409614650038

I give the Scunci Upzing 5 brains.

Beauty Tips for Women: Seashells and Flip-Flops Manicure

I have been a bit uninspired lately after having to chop off what little length I had gotten in my nails over the summer.  Hanging at the beach and pool really took a toll on my nails.  So to cheer up my mood I decided to go for neon pinks and some simply stamping.

Here is a list of what I used for this manicure:
Salon Perfect – Tickled Pink
Salon Perfect – Perky Pink
Rica – Whiteout
Cheeky plate – CH37
Cheeky plate – Jumbo #2

I used two coats of Perky Pink on thumb and ring finger.  I stamped the flip-flop image from CH37 unto them using Tickled Pink.  It stamped well but was very subtle.  I can image that over white Tickle Pink would look very nice.  The remaining fingers got two coats of Tickled Pink.  I stamped the seashell image from Jumbo #2 using Rica Whiteout.  Rica Whiteout is an amazing white stamping polish.  I can’t recommend it enough.  Topped it all off with Seche Vite.
