Beauty Tips for Women: Christmas Tree Manicure 2013

I’ve been so behind in posting that I have a handful of Christmas manicures that I did in 2013 that I did write a post about.  I put the pictures up on my instagram, twitter and the facebook page when I did them.  So now I’m back tracking and posting up the steps and polished used.

This manicure was a test in using my non-dominant hand and I did these on 12/2/13.  I decided to do Christmas trees.  I used a rhinestone wheel, nail art brush, Pure Ice Jaguar, Ulta Envy, China Glaze Winter Holly, and Color Club top coat. Nail Art Polish Beauty tips for Women 350

I did two coats of Jaguar.

Using the nail art brush I did a triangle shape using Envy then topped it with Winter Holly.  My proportions were all off and I should have used tape to get a better line but oh well. Nail Art Polish Beauty tips for Women 352Nail Art Polish Beauty tips for Women 353

I added some red rhinestones at the top and then finished it off with top coat. Nail Art Polish Beauty tips for Women 354

I wasn’t very happy with how it came out but the only way to improve using my left hand is to keep at it.

Beauty Tips for Women: Retro Cat Manicure

For this manicure I was inspired by Jior Couture Cat’s Corn-er polish from their Halloween 2013 collection.  Warning this post is picture intensive. Nail Art Polish Beauty tips for Women 333

Cat’s Corn-er polish is a holographic thermal chocolate brown polish that is also candy corn scented. Application was smooth and the smell made me crave candy.  I tried my best to capture the shift in thermal and the holorraphic effect in pictures. I decided to stamp a cat to play on the title Cat’s Corn-er.  I choose a lovely retro cat from Pueen Cosmetics plate Pueen40.  I stamped with Maybelline Bold Gold. Nail Art Polish Beauty tips for Women 341

The cat came across better when Cat’s Corn-er is dark brown rather than the light caramel color.

This polish packs a punch. I love how it changes colors and the different looks you can get. I’m glad that I just did a simple stamp cause I didn’t want to cover up the color. Nail Art Polish Beauty tips for Women 349

Buy Buy Baby Coupons – Harajuku Mini for Target

Buy buy baby coupons will be reviewing a tank top from the Harajuku Mini line sold at Target, girls sleeveless beach cuties bow tank – pink.  The eldest buy buy baby coupons daughter has wanted to buy some cloths from this line since it appeared on the racks at Target.

The buy buy baby coupons mom was hesitant about purchasing anything because the buy buy baby coupons mom doesn’t feel that all the designs are suited for young girls, lets say under ten.  In general it seems that girls clothing have become anything but that, rather a shrunken version of adult women’s clothing and sexy clothing at that.  The buy buy baby coupons mom does not buy such articles of clothing for her girls.  The buy buy baby coupons mom has this same issue with Moxie Girls and Bratz Dolls.  These dolls are supposed to be little girls but aren’t with all the makeup, fish trout lips, and sexy adult women fashions.  The buy buy baby coupons mom can’t say she loves Barbie either, with her unrealistic body measurements.  However, Barbie is marketed to girls as a doll depicting a woman and not a little girl; perhaps that is why Barbie has a little sister.  The point being is the hyper-sexualization of girls but I digress.

The buy buy baby coupons daughter found a tank top of Harajuku Mini that was nice.  Best of all it was on sale from its regular $12.99 to $6.48.  The other reason for resisting purchasing the Harajuku Mini brand is that the quality always seemed rather cheap especially for the price.  The shirts and dress always felt hard to the touch despite the tag saying they are 100% cotton.  Before purchasing the tank top the buy buy baby coupons mom inspected it carefully to make sure it wasn’t damaged or dirty; it looked good with no damages.

The buy buy baby coupons daughter wore the Harajuku Mini tank top without any problem but did mention that it didn’t feel soft and had some difficulty in taking it off and one sleeve of the Harajuku Mini tank top ripped with two holes.  The buy buy baby coupons mom couldn’t return the item after removing the tags and we all know that Target has the worst return policies and the buy buy baby coupons mom didn’t want to deal with that drama.  Not to mention that it was the last Harajuku Mini Sleeveless Beach Cuties Tank in the store.

The buy buy baby coupons mom decided to patch the two holes in Harajuku Mini tank.  A quick hand-sewing job should patch up the two holes.  Unfortunately to her horror the needle and thread were making their own holes that were becoming larger than the thread.  The material claims to be 100% cotton but the buy buy baby coupons mom has never experienced something like that before.  The buy buy baby coupons kids wear out their cloths and they have been mended without an issue like this occurring.  The quality of the Harajuku Mini tank is horrible.  The buy buy baby coupons mom had to use the iron-on adhesive, Heat n Bond, to resolve the problem.

The buy buy baby coupons mom is highly disappointed with the Harajuku Mini brand and would not recommend this brand.  It certainly lived up to the suspicions regarding the poor quality.
