Beauty Tips for Women: Valentine Manicure – Essence Colour & Go Grey-t To Be Here

I would like to share a beauty product review of Essence Colour & Go “Grey-t To Be Here” along with a simple Valentine manicure.

I picked up Grey-t To Be Here at Ulta.  It is a lovely shade of gray with pink shimmer but at times it also seems to have a golden/orange shimmer as well.  Application was easy and I don’t mind the new bottle design.  I think it is a good deal at $1.99 only when you use a Ulta coupon to purchase it.  I feel for the size it is a bit pricey since you can get a full size bottle of polish for the same price.  I think if you are going for a  Fifty Shades of Grey theme this would work wonderfully or if you just love Grey this a wonderful color to add to your collection.

Essence Grey-t To Be Here

I applied two coats of Grey-t To Be Here then stamped with images from Bundle Monster BM02, BM09, and BM17 using Rimmel English Rose nail polish to achieve a very simple and quick Valentine manicure.

Beauty Tips for Women – French Manicure using French Tip Dip

Who doesn’t love beauty product reviews and if it is about nails even better.  I’m reviewing the French Tip Dip (Signature Deluxe). I love French Manicures but have never been able to do them properly at home. I had come across French Tip Dip and decided to purchase it. The French Tip Dip is described on their site as “Multiple sized tips for quick and easy French manicures and pedicures. Perfect for natural & artificial fingers and toes”.  The service I received was great and the delivery of my kit was fast.

The set comes nicely packed in its own case which is very convenient.  Here is what you get in the Signature Deluxe pack: French Tip Dip tool, a file (100/100), manicure stick, 2 dip jars, Bright White tip polish, Sheer Genius base coat, 3 min. Topcoat and instruction card.

The directions are straightforward and they have videos showing the whole process on their webpage.  It seemed very easy but with everything there is a learning curve. You can’t press down on the nail, rather you kind of glide it over the nail which can take a bit of getting used to. It is suggested to squeeze the tip or even cut it to better fit your nail shape; I overly squeezed the tip trying to get a better fit to the curvature of my nail which ended up giving the french tip more of a “v” shape rather than a rounded one but I don’t mind that.  The process was fast and simple.

I loved their polish, the white was just right and the sheer base coat was amazing.  You apply the sheer base coat after doing the white tip and it does not dull the white at all.

For the cleanup, I poured the polish back into the bottle and wiped up the jar.  I let the polish dry on the tool and just scrapped it off afterwards, which was also one of the recommendations.  I found doing my dominant hand a bit more tricky but that is always the case.

The French manicure came out lovely and I was truly impressed by how easy it was.  Best part is you can use any polish with this product.

I give the French Tip Dip (Signature Deluxe) 5 brains.

Beauty Tips for Women – Hawaiian Christmas Manicure

Bundle Monster came out with a special edition Hawaiian Christmas plate BM-SE1.  I love all things Hawaiian, Tiki, Polynesian in theme.  I needed to get my hands on it. Bundle Monster BM-SE1

The Hawaiian Christmas plate has 7 images on it.  I immediately feel in love with the Santa Tiki.  But all the images are super cute.  I did a test stamp on paper using Konad black and all the images transferred over and were clear.  I had absolutely no issues whatsoever.

I wanted to do nontraditional colors for my Christmas manicure and try to give it an island feel. I came up with the idea of putting the Santa Tiki on the beach with palm trees. Once I decided that it was time to pick the nail polish colors.

Here is a list of what I used:
LA Colors – Sassy Sparkly
China Glaze – For Audrey
Konad – Black & White
Rimmel – Hot Coca
Color Club – Earthly Angel
Ulta – Envy
Sally Hansen – Rapid Red
Maybelline – Bold Gold
Sally Hansen – Lighening
Pure Ice – Silver Mercedes

Santa TikiI started off with doing a base coat of For Audrey.  I sponged Earthly Angel on the tip of my nail to make a little beach area.  Using Envy I painted the palm trees free hand.  I then stamped the Santa Tiki in Hot Coca but only the Tiki not the hat.  I then filled in the image completely with Hot Coca waited for it to dry and added top coat.  The reason for doing this is if I messed up placing the black image over the brown I could take acetone and gently wipe it away without taking off the rest of the polish; basically erasing the mistake.  Next used Black for the Tiki, White for the trim and Rapid Red for the hat; I lined it up as best I can and rolled.  I practiced doing this method on nail art wheel a couple of times before tying it on my nails.  So I was able to get on the first try.  Topped it off with Seche Vite.

For the middle finger I used the Christmas tree.  I stamped the tree with Eny and the flower with Konad white.  With a dotting tool I placed red and yellow dots and used a gold striper to fill in the lines.  Topped it off with Seche Vite.  Index and pinky finger I added a coat of Sassy Sparkly.  It was my intention to do it on my middle finger but totally forgot and once I but the on the Seche Vite I didn’t want to go back and mess with it.  Using Konad White I stamped Mele Kalikimaka.  For the presents on the pinky I used Silver Mercedes and Bold Gold to stamp the presents.  Topped it off with Seche Vite.

I shared my manicure with Bundle Monster via Instagram and was blown away when they shared my manicure on their facebook page.  I love their stamping plates so it truly was an honor to make it onto their timeline.

I hope you enjoyed, Mele Kalikimaka everyone!
