I purchased “lightening” shaped nail decals from Amazon. When I received them I wasn’t very impressed with the shape.
I decided on a purple color scheme. I used Wet n Wild – Who Is Ultra Violet? and Essie – Nothing Else Metals.
I purchased Essence Nail Art top coat in Let Stars Rain Down On Me! It claims to be a holo-glitter polish. The bottle needs to be shaken because all the glitter particles settle at the bottom. It looks very pretty, so I was hopeful that it would deliver.
I decided I wanted to pair this with Sinful Shine – I’m Blushing. This polish was horrible. I have several Sinful Shine polishes and have never experienced such horrible formula issues. It streaked and had bits of black particles in it. I did two coats and it still did not look good and I did not want to invest in more coats to fix the problem. I hoped that adding the holo-glitter top coat would help. So here is where I finish my review of Let Stars Rain Down on Me! Stars do not rain down. I applied 4 coats. With a sponge and without and this is all I got. I was not impressed at all with this top coat.
To help salvage this manicure I decided to do some stamping.
Not crazy at all about this manicure.
I give Sinful Shine I’m Blushing, one brain. I hope that this simply was a bad batch and that others do not experience the same formula issues I did.
I give Essence – Let Stars Rain Down On Me! top coat, zero brains. Don’t waste your money on this at all. It simply does not deliver on its name or claims.
I had a request for a black and gold manicure for my sis. So we are going to show some short nails some love.
The products I used for this manicure are:
Venique – Lighten Up Ebeneezer
Wet n Wild – Ebony Hates Chris
Maybelline – Bold Gold
Nail art wheel – black rhinestones
Venique is my favorite gold glitter polish. So I don’t use up this polish up too fast, I apply a coat of Bold Gold first then Lighten Up Ebeneezer. I find this intensifies the gold more. I made the bow using the rhinestones. Super simple and sexy.
