Beauty Tips for Women: Seashells and Flip-Flops Manicure

I have been a bit uninspired lately after having to chop off what little length I had gotten in my nails over the summer.  Hanging at the beach and pool really took a toll on my nails.  So to cheer up my mood I decided to go for neon pinks and some simply stamping.

Here is a list of what I used for this manicure:
Salon Perfect – Tickled Pink
Salon Perfect – Perky Pink
Rica – Whiteout
Cheeky plate – CH37
Cheeky plate – Jumbo #2

I used two coats of Perky Pink on thumb and ring finger.  I stamped the flip-flop image from CH37 unto them using Tickled Pink.  It stamped well but was very subtle.  I can image that over white Tickle Pink would look very nice.  The remaining fingers got two coats of Tickled Pink.  I stamped the seashell image from Jumbo #2 using Rica Whiteout.  Rica Whiteout is an amazing white stamping polish.  I can’t recommend it enough.  Topped it all off with Seche Vite.

Beauty Tips for Women: Sally Girl March Ice Cream Shoppe Collection

Beauty product review and manicure article heading your way.  I had the great fortune to have won the entire March Ice Cream Shoppe Collection from Sally Girl Cosmetics & Nail Color.  The colors from left to right are: Chocolate Chip, Mint Chip, Cherry Chip, and Grape Sherbert.

I decided to do a skittles manicure with no base color.  I was able to get opacity with three coats for Mint Chip, Cherry Chip, and Grape Sherbert.  Since Chocolate Chip is more of a translucent white, it took four coats and still it was very light but I decided to stop at four.  Nail Art Polish Beauty tips for Women 367Nail Art Polish Beauty tips for Women 368

I couldn’t resist adding some stamping to this manicure.  I decided I would play off the title of the collection and stamp some ice cream.  I used Cheeky plate CH10, CH17, and Jumbo Plate 7.

I used the stamping decal method. I failed to take pictures of this step.  I just simply forgot.  Basically you stamp the image and let it dry completely on the stamper.  Then you paint the image.  You can paint it either with polish or acrylic paint and then let that completely dry.  Add a thin layer of top coat to your nail and wait to it gets tacky and then stamp the image on.  The squishy stamper is the best to us for this method.  Nail Art Polish Beauty tips for Women 371Nail Art Polish Beauty tips for Women 372Nail Art Polish Beauty tips for Women 373

It was my first time using this particular stamping method and I love it.  I like how the images came out.

Beauty Tips for Women: Color Club – Miss Bliss

This is my second swatch of Color Club’s 2013 Halo Hues Collection in Miss Bliss.

Miss Bliss is a pink holographic polish.  The pink is very light.  I did two coats and application was easy.  The formula is awesome.  I had no issues at all.  I couldn’t stop staring at my nails; the holographic effect was so beautiful.

I decided to add some stamping, nothing crazy, just a bow.  I used Cheeky plate CH1 and Konad black.  I toped it all off with Seche Vite.  I didn’t notice that adding topcoat diminished the holographic effect.

I absolutely love how it turned out.
